Integrated Education (I.E.) Staff

We are looking for mature, enthusiastic, and hardworking individuals who role model the principles of Honesty, Caring, Respect, and Responsibility through their words and actions to become a member of the Sherman Lake YMCA Integrated Education (I.E.) Team! Our I.E. staff plays an integral role in building character and developing social-emotional learning skills for students in our community schools through our award-winning overnight program.

Part-Time Housekeeper

Under the direction of the Member Services Director, the Housekeeper, in accordance with the operating policies of the Sherman Lake YMCA Outdoor Center, is responsible for housekeeping functions at the Austenfeld Recreation Center.

Swim Instructor

YMCA Swim Instructors are responsible for providing a safe and fun learning environment for students ranging in age from 6 months to adulthood. Instructors may specialize in a particular age group or swim level based on their skill set. Instructors will deliver the YMCA swim lesson curriculum and adapt their instruction to meet the needs of diverse clients.

Les Mills Group Fitness Instructor

Under the direction of the Group Fitness Coordinator and in accordance with the goals and objectives of the Sherman Lake YMCA, a Les Mills instructor is responsible for learning and teaching regularly at the Y.

Kitchen Staff

Come join a team that works hard and has lots of fun doing it! The Sherman Lake YMCA has immediate openings for people who enjoy working with our fun hospitality and service team as part of our Kitchen Staff.

Lifeguard

Under the direction of the Aquatics Coordinator, a lifeguard will ensure safety in all aquatic environments and comply with the standards of the certification held as well as the YMCA’s mission and teaching philosophy. The lifeguard is responsible for keeping all participants safe while using the aquatic facilities. Lifeguards primary responsibility is to scan the pool, enforce rules and maintain a safe aquatic environment.
