Inappropriate attire. Appropriate attire must be worn at all times. Modesty is encouraged and appreciated in the locker rooms whenever children are present. Sherman Lake YMCA provides youth camping programs throughout the year. Many youth share the locker rooms with members.

Unaccompanied children under the age of 8 years in the pool. Children 8 and younger must be accompanied by an adult in proper swim attire in the pool.
Angry or vulgar language, including swearing, name-calling or shouting.
Physical contact with another person in any angry or threatening way.
Any demonstration of sexual activity or sexual contact with another person.
Harassment or intimidation by words, gestures, body language or any menacing behavior.
Theft or behavior that results in the destruction of property.
Cell phone and mobile electronic device use is prohibited in the locker rooms.

Sexual Offender Policy
We consider it of great importance to provide a safe and threat-free environment. The Y reserves the right to deny access or membership to any person who has been charged with or convicted of any crime involving sexual abuse or who is required by law to register as a sex offender.
Membership Cards
A membership card is proof of membership and must be presented in order to use a Y facility. A member who does not have a membership card must present photo identification, such as a driver’s license, to allow staff to verify their membership. For security purposes, a photo ID must be presented when requesting a replacement card.
Membership Cancellation
Please complete a Cancellation Form at least 15 days prior to the date membership fees are withdrawn (the 15th of each month) in order for it to take effect by the 1st of the following month.
Membership Hold
Members may request that their membership be placed on hold for up to three (3) consecutive months per calendar year for the following reasons:
Medical - if a doctor or physician recommends you do not use the facility for a given time frame.
Vacation/Seasonal - when living or traveling out of the area.
During this time, you will not be charged membership fees. At the end of the hold period, your monthly billing and membership privileges will resume. Hold requests must be received at least 15 days prior to the date membership fees are withdrawn (the 15th of each month).
All membership privileges, including member rates for program participation, are relinquished during the time a membership is on hold.
Please complete a Membership Hold Form to put your membership on hold.
Membership Reciprocity
The Y Movement is for youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. We want to encourage members to utilize the Y as often as they can. Sometimes, it’s more convenient for members to utilize a Y in a different location when traveling, near a workplace or in another region.
Now, full facility/full privilege YMCA members have the flexibility to use other Y facilities throughout the country, at no extra charge. Simply present your active YMCA membership card and photo ID at any participating YMCA and enjoy free access.
