Dear Sherman Lake YMCA Camp Families,

Sherman Lake YMCA is committed to providing a safe, fun and enriching summer camp experience for all of our campers and staff and this year will be no exception. Engaging with our local agencies - the Kalamazoo Health Department, Michigan’s State Licensing Agency, the CDC and the American Camp Association throughout the past year has allowed us to continually inform our policies and procedures as they relate to health and safety.

We all need camp more than ever! As summer gets closer, we will continue to communicate and remain transparent about our adaptations for Summer 2021. We encourage you to reach out with any questions or concerns.

Cancellation Policy

Please notify us as soon as possible if you decide to cancel your camper’s enrollment in any session. You will be asked to complete a brief form to confirm your cancellation and indicate your preference regarding payments that have already been applied towards the cancelled session.

  • Cancellations must be made 30 days prior to the start of camp to receive a full refund, minus your deposit.

  • Session switches can be made at any time, pending availability, by emailing logistics@ymcasl.org or calling 269.731.3030.

  • Refunds will not be issued for campers going home early for illness, disciplinary action or homesickness.

  • If Sherman Lake YMCA is unable to run camp due to COVID-19, full refunds (including deposits) will be offered.

  • Please notify Sherman Lake YMCA as soon as possible if cancelling due to injury, illness or your family’s COVID-19 related circumstances for a full refund, including your deposit.

Day Camp Transportation Update

Sherman Lake YMCA Camp is committed to providing a transportation option for our day camp programs. Families can secure their spot by registering for a Battle Creek, Kalamazoo or Portage pick-up and drop-off sites when registering.
