Member Trails
Sherman Lake YMCA offers miles of beautiful trails on over 700 acres of land!
Members are asked to check-in with the front desk of the Rec Center when using the trails, or if the building is closed, take their cell phone with them. No dogs or motorized vehicles are permitted on the trails.
Please access the Member Trails from the Memorial Garden. The barn area and horse pastures are not open to members. Members may also access MSU/Brook Lodge trails across 39th Street, which can be accessed via the viaduct at the old stone entrance.
Member Trails Policies and Procedures
ALL members/guests must check in and out through the Rec Center. Appropriate guest fees will apply to any non-members.
Members may check in and out by phone at 731-3032.
Trails across 39th Street are only accessible using the new tunnel near the main entrance.
Parking is permitted only in paved Sherman Lake YMCA lots.
Carry a cell phone, if possible.
Children (17 & under) must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
DO NOT cross or get in the water (frozen or unfrozen).
Dress accordingly for your activity. Wear bright colors.
Bring 1 quart of water for every 1 hour of activity.No pets are allowed on camp trails. If using the MSU trails, pets must be on a leash no more than 6 feet long and owners must clean up after their pets.
Trails are available only during daylight hours (dawn to dusk).
Activities permitted: hiking, jogging, biking, cross country skiing, snowshoeing.
