Integrated Education Overnight Cabin Counselor

We hire seasonal staff for these programs:

Fall and Winter/Spring – School Programs:
Integrated Education Coordinator – helping schools transform by bringing character development lessons learned at camp back to the classroom (Camp to Classroom)

Position Overview:

Qualifications:
Applicants must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities:

  • Overnight supervision of a cabin group of students from 5:30 pm-9:00 am. Flexible start and end times.

  • Full participation in dinner, evening activities, bedtime routine, closing day debrief, start of the daily routine, and breakfast.  

  • Know what your campers did during the day and issues or successes that they each had, communicate this to the daytime person before they depart.  

  • Support campers with their needs such as homesickness or conflict resolution to the full extent of your training and utilized evening program coordinators as needed. 

Dates of employment:
This is a seasonal, part-time position available during the Fall (late August-early December) and Winter/Spring (early February - early June). Free certification courses are available for Sherman Lake Integrated Education staff prior to staff training.

Salary Range:
Overnight Program Salary: $50/night
(Salary is based on relevant experience, education, and certifications)

Benefits include housing, meals during the program, and seasonal YMCA membership.
